Layers of Life: The Latest Madimorphosis Collection I’m thrilled to introduce my newest collection—just one chapter in a much larger Madimorphosis journey. In this series, four animal friends take center stage: Ezra the elephant, Kian the lion, Amara the parrot, and Zephyr the zebra. Each painting begins with a quiet black-and-white underpainting, a moment of calm where form and feeling first emerge. From those gentle gray shapes, I build up layers of color—rich ochres for Ezra’s wise gaze, buttery yellows for Kian’s gentle strength, vibrant greens and corals for Amara’s playful spirit, and the crisp contrasts of Zephyr’s stripes. With every brushstroke, I’m reminded why I fell in love with oil paint: the way a simple sketch can transform into something alive. This collection is the scene I’m sharing today—and tomorrow, a new creature might take its place.
